REAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS, FOR US

Delegate Bob Hull was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates from the 38th District in a special election on December 15, 1992. He is the ranking Democrat on the Counties, Cities, and Towns Committee and third in Democratic seniority on the General Laws Committee.
Delegate Hull formerly served on the House committes on Finance, Education, Labor and Commerce, and Militia and Police. He was the last Democratic Chair of the Unemployment Subcommittee of the Labor and Commerce Committee.
If re-elected, Delegate Hull will be at least 18th in seniority in the 100-member House of Delegates and seventh in Democratic seniority.
Delegate Hull has served on many legislative study commissions and subcomittees. He currently serves on the Virginia Housing Commission, focusing on Housing Affordability, Housing and Environmental Standards, and Mortgage Finance Regulatory Issues.
He also serves on the Joint Commission on Administrative Rules and the Virginia War Memorial Foundation. Delegate Hull formerly served on the Virginia-Israel Advisory Board.
Formerly, Delegate Hull served as Chair of the Joint Subcommittee Studying Local Revenue Resources and Chair of the Task Force on Continuous Quality Improvement of the Joint Commission on the Commonwealth's Workforce Task Force.
He also served on the Virginia-Maryland-D.C. Joint Legislative Commission on Interstate Transportation, the Commission on State and Local Government Responsibility and Taxing Authority, the Joint Subcommittee Studying the Funding Requirements of the Virginia Unemployment Compensation Act, and the Joint Subcommittee Studying Crime and Violence Prevention through Community Economic Stimulation and Development.
For 19 years prior to running for office, Delegate Hull served on various Fairfax County boards and commissions, including the Industrial Development Authority, the Fairfax County Community Improvement Program Advisory Committee, and three-and-a-half years on the Fairfax County Park Authority board of directors.
He spent six years on the Virginia Tech Alumni Association and four years on the community service board of the local public broadcasting station, MHz Network.
Delegate Hull has been a member of the Fairfax County Democratic Committee since 1973 and served several terms as an officer on the Steering Committee. He is a former chair of the Providence District Democratic Committee and a former member of the Virginia Democratic State Central Committee.
He has worked on numerous Democratic campaigns, including serving as Executive Director of the Weinberg for Congress campaign against 10th District Congresman Frank Wolf in 1988.
Delegate Hull is a member of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Greater Falls Church Chamber of Commerce, Virginia PTA, Planned Parenthood, and Virginia Tech Alumni Association. He is an associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Hadassah and a Life Member of the NAACP.
Delergate Hull writes the "News from the Coffin Corner" column in the Falls Church News-Press once every third week.
Born in Washington, D.C., in 1954, Delegate Hull has lived in or adjacent to his district his entire life, except for the years he spent in college in Blacksburg.
Delegate Hull is a product of the Fairfax County school system, graduating from Falls Church High School. He earned an A.S. degree in Biology from the Northern Virginia Community College and a B.S. degree in Agriculture from Virginia Tech, where he also attended Graduate School.
Delegate Hull and his wife, Laura, have two children and live in the Tyler Park community.
